Busy, busy, busy. What a busy week. Monday started with the arrival of our new puppy Oreo: Half German Shepherd, half Border Collie. As we all know, with a new puppy comes lots of work... training, feeding, walking, feeding, playing, feeding and some sleep. Her first night was a little rough, but she is now doing great. The kids absolutely love her and she is darling. Ginger seems to be happier now with a companion since the passing of our beloved Shadow. Still, it's sad knowing how much the kids miss shadow even though they love their new puppy (especially when Kenzie calls her Shadow).
The weekend was set up to be a challenging one for Micky. She had her Carnival of Champions competition (a district wide track meet) in which she ran the 100 meter dash and was the anchor for the 4x100 relay race. Their school finished in 6th place and we are so proud of the time and dedication that McKenna put in to prepare for this event. After that, she went to her soccer game and scored 2 goals for her team which ended with a 5-5 tie.
To end our weekend, we had the priveledge of attending the Sacrament program that was put together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Whittier Stake. We are always enlightened when Grandpa Jack gets to speak, it always feels like he's got a message that speaks to directly to us.

Those are such cute pix. That was a fun, BUSY weekend! The kids all look very cute, Ginger looks big, and Oreo is adorable.
We also ploved the cute pic of Shadow!
Good job McKenna-that's a lot of hard work.
Wow! You guys have been really busy! Your new puppy is absolutely adorable. I'm really impressed with McKenna and all the sports she is in. What a dedicated kid!
I am so glad Mark and I got to be part of your busy weekend. We love being around those sweet kids. We know McKenna is quite the athlete but Noah's right on her heels and Kenzie is far behind. Love your new puppy Oreo and are very excited about our camping trip for Yoesmite. Love you !
